These terms govern your use of the Maindex service operated at maindex.io. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Maindex provides a memory storage and retrieval API for software applications and their users. The service is currently in beta and is provided on an as-is basis. Features, availability, and pricing may change.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the API in a way that degrades service for others
• Store content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Use the service to store or transmit malware

Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you store through the service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. We will not access your stored content except as necessary to provide the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms.

API Keys and Access

API keys are issued at our discretion during the beta period. We may revoke access at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason during the beta period with reasonable notice.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maindex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data before deletion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which the service operator resides.
